Jonathan P. Fairchild
Executive Vice President, Director of Financial Consulting & Business Development
As the Director of Financial Consulting and Business Development, Jonathan manages all aspects of business development and new client service for Telos Capital Management, Inc. In his role as a member of the Executive Committee, he is involved in the decision making and strategic planning activities of Telos, and as Executive Vice President, backs up Stefan Meierhofer with running the firm. With over 20 years of industry experience, Jonathan is committed to working with his clients on financial planning and their overall investment strategy. He specializes in financial consulting with individual investors and families, and finds great satisfaction in helping others achieve their financial goals.
Jonathan joined Telos in 2011 after being employed at RNC Genter Capital Management for over 12 years. There he was a First Vice President and primarily focused on Private Client relationships. He began his career on the institutional side of investment management, developing relationships with brokerage firms, turnkey platforms, and institutional consultants, but eventually he was drawn by a desire to work directly with investors on achieving their investment goals, and so began working in the Private Client division providing financial consultation to a number of individuals and families.
Prior to moving to California in 1999, Jonathan began his financial services career 1993 as a Marketing Assistant/Intern with Aegon USA in Chicago while pursuing a Bachelor's degree of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Iowa. His areas of focus included security analysis and portfolio management technology. He completed the Personal Financial Planner Certification at the University of California Los Angeles in 2013.
Jonathan lives in Carlsbad where he enjoys many interests including hiking, biking on his mountain and e-bikes, reading history, and playing board games with his son. Originally from the Midwest, Jonathan has family still there and considers himself a Midwesterner at heart, although he loves the weather in California and says he'll likely never move back.
