Jonathan P. Fairchild

As Director of Financial Consulting and Business Development and Executive Vice President at Telos Capital Management, Inc., Jonathan oversees all aspects of business development and client service for the marketing group, while playing an active role in the firm’s leadership and strategic direction. As a member of the Executive Committee, he is involved in decision-making and long-term planning for the firm and works closely with Stefan Meierhofer in managing Telos’ day-to-day operations and growth. With more than twenty-five years of industry experience, Jonathan is committed to helping individuals and families navigate financial planning and investment strategy with clarity and confidence and takes particular pride in building long-term client relationships focused on real-world outcomes.

Jonathan joined Telos in 2011, bringing with him a strong background in private client service and investment consulting. Prior to Telos, he spent over a decade at RNC Genter Capital Management, where he served as a First Vice President working with private clients. Earlier in his career, he worked on the institutional side of the business developing relationships with brokerage firms, turnkey platforms, and institutional consultants before ultimately focusing his practice on working directly with individuals and families.

He began his career in financial services in 1993 while in Chicago, where he worked with Aegon USA while completing his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at the University of Iowa, with an emphasis on security analysis and portfolio management technology. After relocating to California in 1999, he continued to build his career and later completed the Personal Financial Planner Certification program at UCLA in 2013.

Jonathan lives in Carlsbad, where he enjoys hiking, biking on both his mountain and e-bikes, reading about history and exploration, and spending time with his son Jonah, and girlfriend Chris. Originally from the Midwest, he still has family there and considers himself a Midwesterner at heart - though he admits the California weather makes ever moving back an unlikely event.
