Chief Investment Officer, Director of Portfolio Management & Research

As the firm’s Chief Investment Officer (CIO), Andy leads the firm’s experienced investment management team and is responsible for the development and implementation of our disciplined investment process. With more than 25 years of financial service industry experience, he lends his expertise to analyzing investments and managing client portfolios. Andy serves on the Investment Advisory Committee of the San Diego Rescue Mission (SDRM), where he provides his expertise and counsel to the Finance Committee. Prior to joining Telos Capital Management, Inc., Andy was a financial adviser at Pacific Financial Group, where he provided financial, tax and retirement counsel for small business owners and employees. Before moving to San Diego in 2003, Andy worked in Boston, MA as an equity research analyst and assistant portfolio manager at the Boston Family Office. There he followed and analyzed the consumer and energy sectors and helped determine investment guidelines for individual client portfolios. Previous to that Andy spent five years at Mellon Financial in Boston as a financial analyst and institutional trust accountant.

Andy graduated from Middlebury College in Vermont with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He also studied for one year at the Instituto International in Madrid, Spain. In 2001 Andy earned his CFA® designation and became a member of the CFA Institute, and the CFA Society of San Diego. He formerly held Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7 & 66 licenses and is fluent in Spanish.

Andy and his family live in San Diego. He enjoys backpacking, traveling and coaching soccer.
